These Air Fryer Hot Dogs are the easiest and quickest way to make the crispiest and juicy hot dogs! Hot dogs and buns are ready in 7 minutes!

Now and then, I love a delicious hot dog, and these air-fried hot dogs do not disappoint! Not all hot dog cooking methods are the same, let me tell you. I've had them boiled, steamed, grilled, microwaved, you name it, and I can, I promise you, you will never want them any other way again.

There is no need to wait until summertime or warmer weather to fire up the grill for hot dogs when you can have a delicious and crispy hot dog and bun ready in less than 10 minutes.

what I love about this recipe:

    • Crispy and perfectly cooked hot dog and bun ready in less than 10 minutes!
    • No need to preheat the air fryer or a grill.
    • Perfect for preparing hot dogs for a crowd or even making a single hot dog for yourself!

Only 5 minutes for the hot dogs and additional 1-2 minutes with the buns on the hot dogs. If cooking from frozen, add 2-4 minutes additional cooking time.

In the air fryer since it does not require any oil.

Can you cook hot dog buns in the air fryer?

Absolutely! Cook the hot dogs for 5 minutes, then put the hot dogs in the buns and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until the buns are golden.

    recipe shortcuts

Sometimes we are short on time and need to prep things ahead of time. Here are a few ideas that can help make this recipe even faster for you!

✔ Prep ahead – There isn't much prepping ahead you can do besides cooking them for meal prepping.
✔ Cook ahead – I do not recommend cooking the hot dogs ahead of time because they only take a few minutes to cook.
✔ Freezer meal – Hot dogs aren't the best freezer meal options.

    freezer meal instructions

I do not recommend preparing hot dogs as a freezer meal. Now you can air fry frozen hot dogs. They will need additional cooking time, approximately 2-4 minutes longer.

    recommended tools

    • Air Fryer - My tried-and-true air fryer that cooks perfectly and evenly.
    • Tongs - Use these tongs for everything.

    leftovers

Leftovers are my favorite! They save and reheat well. To save them, place them into a container once cooled to room temperature. The hot dogs are good in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
