A quick and delicious spicy ground beef and beans recipe served with rice that only requires basic ingredients. Ready under 30 minutes!

Spicy Ground Beef and Black Bean with Rice

I can't believe May has already ended. Happy June, folks! Summer is just right around the corner - yay! Do you have any big plans for the summer?

We do not have anything planned as of right now because we are just trying to get started on renovating our house. Needs a lot of TLC.  That's why we love quick, easy and delicious meals.

Spicy Ground Beef and Black Bean with Rice

Like I always mention, I absolutely love meals that can be prepared under or right around 30 minutes during the weekdays. Sometimes its gets super hectic around here and I do not want to spend too much time in the kitchen.

I always love quick meals in the summer as well. Love that the house doesn't really get heated up because the meal is quick. My favorite.

Spicy Ground Beef and Black Bean with Rice

Does your family enjoy quick meals in the summer or anytime of the year? What are some of your favorite things to make?

I know you guys will love this because it is also very tasty as well. For people who love spicy foods, you definitely do not need to omit the crushed red pepper flakes.

If you are someone who doesn't like or love spicy foods, you can always omit the crushed red pepper flakes.

Spicy Ground Beef and Black Bean with Rice

You will need one pound of ground beef, 1 - 15 ounce can of black  beans, 2 garlic cloves, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef stock, rice, flour, salt and pepper. That's it.

We love recipes where we already have everything in our pantry. For the rice we used brown rice because that is what we had on hand. You can always use white rice if that's all you have.

I love meals that will come together quickly like this. When I was growing up my friend's mother used to make "beans and hamburger" which consisted of browning some burger with onion and stirring in a can of campbell's baked beans. We loved it and since her house was always full of neighborhood kids, I'm sure it was a cheap meal for her to make too. Nowadays I prefer a dish like yours but it sure does bring back memories of a simpler time 🙂

I don't see beans in the Ingredients List....did you use a can of black beans?

This was a very easy meal to make and I love quick dinners that can come together at the last minute. Though I am a bit confused as to why it's called spicy ground beef and bean...it was not spicy in the least. The seasonings were not enough to season the beef and beans enough so I had to triple it. I did really like the sauce consistency.

I'm curious as to how much red pepper flakes you included in your recipe. You mention it in the description, but there's no amount listed in the recipe itself.

I made this last night, and yum! I didn't have any Worcestershire sauce, so I just doubled the Soy Sauce. I also only had pinto beans instead of black, and had Chicken stock instead of beef. Even with the substitutions it was delicious, and so easy! Definitely will make again soon 🙂 Thank you!
