    Deep-Dish Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

A deep-dish skillet chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel drizzle, and festive funfetti sprinkles. What’s not to like?

    Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

When the hubby and I went out for my birthday dinner we saw a couple of different restaurants served a deep-dish skillet cookie for dessert. I wanted to try it, but I didn’t want to order it because I knew I could easily make this at home!

Who wants to spend extra money for something you can make in your own kitchen? I know I definitely do not!

    Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

I didn’t remember to make it right away, but a couple days after the hubby was talking about a pizza place right around the corner serves a deep-dish skillet cookie as well. That just sealed the icing on the cake.  Off to work I went.

I tried to make it a couple of different times, but the last time I succeeded. Making chocolate chip cookies are second nature, right? This deep-dish skillet cookie wasn’t so easy because my skillet was a big, deep-disk skillet. I took the recipe and doubled it because I have a 10-inch skillet.

The recipe calls for an 8 or 9 inch skillet – if you have a larger one, just double the recipe.

    Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

This deep-dish skillet chocolate chip cookie is the best because it is thick like a delicious piece of pie and chewy like a chocolate chip cookie. You can top it however you like – I thought vanilla ice cream, a generous drizzle of caramel sauce and festive sprinkles did the job!

I have a large skillet too....it's a shame I'll have to double the recipe. Who wants all that cookie laying around? Hahaha...ME! I'm sure my kids and I can handle twice the cookie dough 🙂
