Gooey Halloween Bars - What's more to like than creepy bugs crawling out of your treats with bones? Happy Halloween!
Who's ready for Halloween? I know I am! If only our neighborhood would catch up. Every year since we have moved into our house, we had never had a trick-or-treater knock on the door. There was this one time when an adult neighbor did, only to tell us we weren't going to receive and trick-or-treaters. Ha!
Oh well. What can we do besides make a bunch of Halloween-inspired treats for our friends and family? How about a sweet treat with creepy, crawling bugs and bones? Oh yeah. We have those for you, plus a tutorial on how to make a castle from cereal boxes!
These are even gooier than your traditional cereal bars. The kind of bars that will have you licking the gooeyness from your fingers, a.k.a finger-licking delicious dessert bars.
Right now you can pick up three boxes of Count Chocula®, Boo Berry® and Franken Berry® from your local Target to make a castle.
Each box is a part of the castle with accessories to play with! So cute and a wonderful family-friendly activity to do. Be sure only to have the adults cut out the pieces with scissors.
Once the bars are made, have the entire family join in on building a castle. Each package has the directions on how to put together the castle, but above are the step-by-step photos on how we made ours. It's easy and fun to play with. Remember to have tape handy, you will need it to help make some of the pieces sturdier.
