    Lemon Pepper Chicken Thighs Recipe

Lemon pepper chicken is such a simple recipe that produces so much flavor, and I cannot get enough of it. And these baked lemon pepper chicken thighs do not disappoint! I do not know about you, but baked chicken thighs are the best. They have so much flavor, especially when they are baked with the bone-in and the skin on top. Crispy chicken skin is my favorite, not healthy by any means, but oh, so good!

Lately, I have been on a chicken kick and have been making so many different chicken recipes, and I am all about that life. I have some great recipes coming your way, but let's make these crispy chicken thighs first because I know they will become a family favorite.

HOW TO SEASON LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN THIGHS?

    • Prepare lemon pepper seasoning - Not all lemon pepper seasonings are created equal. Some have a lot of salt, while some only have a little bit. Some brands like to use citrus acid for the lemon flavor instead of lemon zest. And some brands even add food coloring or even Tumeric to create a yellow color. This is my favorite lemon pepper seasoning that uses lemon peel and not critic acid. You will also notice there isn't a vibrant yellow color to it, and that makes me happy. If you want that yellow color, add a little Tumeric powder to it. Add the rest of the seasonings and stir to combine.
    • Prepare the chicken thighs - I like to have the skin on the chicken thighs dry to create crispy skin, so you will want to pat them dry with a paper towel. Drizzle the oil over the chicken thighs and rub the lemon pepper seasoning all over the chicken thighs and remember to get under the skin!
    • Bake - Bake under they are done at the chicken thighs register 165°F and then broil to the skin even crispier. Yum!

HOW TO COOK LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN THIGHS?

I like to bake my chicken thighs at 400°F for 35-40 minutes or until the chicken thighs have reached an internal temperature of 165°F. I like to turn the broil setting on high and broil them for a few minutes to get the skin even crispier.
