It seems with the New Year our family has continuously to be busy with life and work commitments, and it can be tricky spending quality family time. Even if it's watching a 30-minute TV show every night, making dinner together or even perhaps whipping up a quick dessert after dinner. Family and friends need to be a priority even if it's making a one-minute mug cake in the microwave!

My parents' are only 2.5 hours away in another state, but we find it difficult for everyone's schedule to align to see each other. That's something on my list to change somehow for this year, even if it's seeing them once or twice a month.

- 3 tbsp Pillsbury cake mix
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp frosting

Spray a mug with non-stick cooking spray.

Place the cake mix and water into the mug and whisk.

Place the mug cake mixture into the microwave and cook for 1 minute. Allow the cake to cool, then remove and frost.
