Lemon-Lime Sangria: A refreshing and unique spin on sangria! Not too sweet and absolutely delicious!
This spring I have been in a sangria mood and experimenting with different flavors and wines. I think I may be able to say, I have officially found my sangria inner soul. Sangria is so versatile and fruits adds an excellent flavor to the wine.
Yesterday was Memorial Day in the States, so happy belated Memorial Day! We didn't have a big get together, just us and my brother - which was nice. It really gave me a chance to reflect on what is Memorial Day about.
It's a great country to be in and there are so many great people who fight for us every single day. It's truly a blessing and I am glad I had the chance to reflect on that yesterday.
Did you have a great BBQ yesterday? We did and I made extras for lunches this week, yummy.
For the lemon-lime flavor in the sangria, I used carbonated water and added lemon and lime juice. If you want to grab a bottle of lemon-lime soda, that's perfect as well. Either way is delicious and a unique flavor for sangria. For the wine, I used a subtle but delicious white wine - pinot grigio.
I didn't want the wine to be too sweet because I want the full flavors of the lemon-lime.
