Ingredients
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • holiday sprinkles
  • 24 mint kisses unwrapped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat. Set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment; mix on medium-speed until it is creamed. Mix in the egg yolks and vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly mix in the flour ½ cup at a time and mix on medium-speed for about 5 minutes. Fold in the baking powder and salt with a plastic spatula.
  4. Roll the dough, about 1 tablespoon, into a ball and roll into the holiday sprinkles; place onto the cookie sheet. Do the rest the same way. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes, then place a kiss on top. Place the cookie sheet in the freezer so the kisses will not melt. I placed the sheet in the freezer for 5 minutes, just enough to cool them down.
