Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8 or 9 inch cast iron skillet. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and white granulated sugar.

Add in the egg and vanilla extract while mixing on low.

Slowly add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix thoroughly.

Add in cookie dough into the cast iron skillet and spread around with a plastic spatula. Make sure it is spread out even.

Add the chocolate chip on top and press them down a little bit.

Bake for 20-22 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Allow the cookie to completely cool before slicing and garnishing with your favorite toppings.
