Ingredients
  • 3-4 boneless chicken breasts chopped into 1.5 inch thick pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil; you can use vegetable canola, or olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons flour I used all-purpose
  • 3 tablesoons cornstarch
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 3-4 cups cooked rice
  • sesame seeds
  • Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce*
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Mix together the sauce first because you want the flavors to blend. Start by whisking together the honey, white vinegar, and ketchup in a small bowl. Whisk in the soy sauce and brown sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a ziplock bag, place the flour in it. In another ziplock bag, place the cornstarch in it.
  3. Place the lightly beaten egg in a small bowl.
  4. Add the oil into a skillet and allow the oil to get hot.
  5. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg and then into the flour, and then into the cornstarch.
  6. Cook the chicken pieces on each side for 1-2 minutes or until done. Repeat until all the chicken has been cooked.
  7. Remove extra oil and add the sauce into the same pan.
  8. Serve with hot rice.
Recipe Notes

*If you are using low-sodium soy sauce, then add a pinch of salt to the sauce.
