Ingredients
  • Cookie Dough Layer:
  • 5 tablespoons butter softened at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 and ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Brownie Layer:
  • 8 tablespoons butter melted
  • cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • Half Brownie Layer:
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • cup cocoa powder
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons flour
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Cookie Dough Layer - In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add in the egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly mix together the flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Add the cookie dough to a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Brownie Layer - Decide which kind of bars you would like - more brownie or less brownie. Mix together the ingredients on which one you are making.
  6. Pour the brownie layer on top of the parchment paper. Spoon the cookie dough on top of the brownie layer.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the brownies to cool before slicing.
