Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels with Caramel Filling
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl; mix in the egg, vanilla extract and salt until combined. Slowly add in the flour 1 cup at-a-time until it is mixed in with the batter. Gently fold in the baking soda and cornstarch, then then in the milk chocolate morsels with caramel filling. Pour the batter into the baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  3. Allow the bars to completely cool before removing. Slice and store in an airtight container for 1 week.
