Ingredients
  • ½ tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed
  • 2 cups broth, chicken, vegetable, or water
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ cup cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat add butter. Once the butter has melted, add the rice and continue to stir until the rice has a golden color.

  2. Add the broth and bring to a boil. Stir in rice, cover and reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes, or until rice is cooked through and tender.

  3. Remove the rice from heat, fluff with a fork. Add lime juice, cilantro, and salt. Mix together and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

Rinsing the water is a very important step which removes the starch.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.
